the book i have read is love my enemy by kate maclachlan.
the book is about two star crossed lovers and one was a protestant and the other is a catholic. they fall victim to the jelousies and hatred around them.when they clash connor is beaten up and and zee pays for betrail in a violent and dramatic conclusion.
this relates to my theme youth culture, by showing how when there are different types of groups or gangs there are hatred between them. the youths in london and around most of the world show this alot and by creating a tension between different area’s around the world today.

This is a good start, Luke. Why do you think these gangs and tensions develop? What does the book help you to learn about this? Does this seem familiar to your own experience, or is it quite different?

it causes tension because of the hatred they have for eachother which causes a tension between them all the time. the book helps me by showing me that there will be hatred everywere u go unless u deal with it and let it get to you.it is similar to my experiance because of my area for example will hate brixton for example just because they live south west instead of south east and also to try and be on top of all the gangs.
